I didn't get to watch it. I worked today.
But I heard Obama take the Oath of Office and I choked up.
I sent a little prayer skyward. He's gonna need all the help he can get.

The speech was good. Now to see how much we live up to. (and uh, yeah, there is an option beside Abrahamics, Hindu and Non-believers)

I do not envy him. He is in much the same position as John Lackland was in 1200. A bankrupted country, disasterous foreign wars, political and domestic enemies, a populace already stretched to the limit.

Hopefully, he will be wiser than John. The lack of 17 children (5 by his wife) shows that already.

It will be interesting. Change always is, even if it's not comfortable.

I listened to it on the radio and found myself weeping through most of it. I give him credit for what he did, he could have said more, but I was deeply struck by the idea of "patchwork" that was worked through out the speech. I am pretty much praying to whatever forces will listen at this point that he gets all the help he needs.
