Ah yesss... Battle of The Planets. I was hopelessly addicted, but the DVD set was disappointing. Childhood memories do not always translate well into adult reality.
Full Metal Alchemist was a fair piece of work. You just gotta like, Lust!
You want a good one for the kids, check out Obon Star Racers (not likely the right spelling, but close). Very good story. Very nice animation, albeit in that typical anime style where people don't have much for noses.

We're seeing movies that at least one person hasn't seen.
The kids want to see a Fritz Lang and I can't decide between Dr. Mabuse or Metropolis. (No way are we seeing M)
