A few bits of randomness
Jul. 26th, 2006 10:05 pmAnd it came to pass, when he had made an end of speaking unto Saul, that the soul of Jonathan was knit with the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as his own soul … Then Jonathan and David made a covenant, because he loved him as his own soul. And Jonathan stripped himself of the robe that was upon him, and gave it to David, and his garments, even to his sword, and to his bow, and to his girdle.
— 1 Samuel 18:1, 3-4, KJV
The Angel translation:
So, after a chat with his dad, Jonathan realized he and David were soul-mates and in love. Then they made a covenant together, because they were in love. Then Jonathan got undressed, offering David all his clothes, his big phallic sword, his long hard bow and his underwear.
And I am forcing fundies to defend the notion that these boys are just platonic pals and everyone feels that way about their best friend...
OK, I got cracking on my Arcana story. It's called (tentatively) "Tuition Fees." Is Professer L. Morgenstern too obvious? How about when he's teaching at a school called Teufelsteinschloss? (are those even spelled right?)
still cranking on the pirates, getting there slowly
