Mama Bear time

Bunny and I talked this evening.

She's not just taking a little crap at school (a little being defined as a random vicious comment that everyone gets). She's being actively assaulted on a daily basis. Some little bitch thinks it's funny to push her down the stairs of the gym.

So, she's keeping a log of what happens, when and who is behind her when she gets shoved. Also on the efforts she makes to avoid it. And Monday, she's going to the gym teacher with it. "I'm getting pushed down the steps. Could you keep an eye on things when we come in and see if you can catch them in the act?"

Should the gym teacher (who is a good sort) not act, we move up the chain calmly and cleanly, until I am standing in the principal's office yelling about assault law-suits.


On an upside, we got her pen and ink and some sample alphabets she likes. She's practicing.

Well, hell. You've got the right plan to deal with - at least as far as legalities and admin protocol are concerned. My maternal instinct says go squash the little assholes with your big mama foot, though.

Bunny's smart and beautiful and open and honest about herself. That'll help her through this, even if it's also in large part why it's happening. Glad to know you're backing her all the way.
