Mama Bear time

Bunny and I talked this evening.

She's not just taking a little crap at school (a little being defined as a random vicious comment that everyone gets). She's being actively assaulted on a daily basis. Some little bitch thinks it's funny to push her down the stairs of the gym.

So, she's keeping a log of what happens, when and who is behind her when she gets shoved. Also on the efforts she makes to avoid it. And Monday, she's going to the gym teacher with it. "I'm getting pushed down the steps. Could you keep an eye on things when we come in and see if you can catch them in the act?"

Should the gym teacher (who is a good sort) not act, we move up the chain calmly and cleanly, until I am standing in the principal's office yelling about assault law-suits.


On an upside, we got her pen and ink and some sample alphabets she likes. She's practicing.

TAKE ACTION NOW! i was bullied all through school. in junior high, i got pushed down a flight of concrete stairs with steel edges by bullies. three skull fractures (i rolled down a flight), mild but permanent brain damage resulting in five years of speech therapy, a good stay in the hospital and a couple of weeks out of school later due to the severity of my concussions. GO TO THE PRINCIPAL! IF ACTION ISN'T TAKEN IMMEDATELY, GO TO THE SUPERINTENDANT. THEN THE SCHOOL BOARD. THEN THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION. ENSURE THE SAFTY OF YOUR CHILD! i will spend the rest of my life paying the price for another child's vindictiveness. unfortunately for me, it happened during class time (i was doing an errand for a teacher) and i was pushed from behind. once i started rolling, the person who did it ran. i never saw who did it. whoever did it went on to do it to someone else. this isn't about just your daughter. this is about every other child this malicious thug can go on to hurt and is probably currently hurting.

We are definitely taking action. I won't have her hurt, nor will I have her learn that other people can abuse her just for their pleasure.

actually, i'm not in the sca, never even attended an event and i'm in denver. it's a long tale as to how i know kes. but pass on to your daughter that walking into my ten year reunion as the former geek (my akward phase only lasted about from the fourth grade until twenty one) was truly a thing of glory. i had the former mr big man on campus hitting on me, cheerleaders apologizing to me, and those who i was completely tormented by running with their tails between their legs. it does balance out in the end. it's just that the end takes a long time.
