Mama Bear time

Bunny and I talked this evening.

She's not just taking a little crap at school (a little being defined as a random vicious comment that everyone gets). She's being actively assaulted on a daily basis. Some little bitch thinks it's funny to push her down the stairs of the gym.

So, she's keeping a log of what happens, when and who is behind her when she gets shoved. Also on the efforts she makes to avoid it. And Monday, she's going to the gym teacher with it. "I'm getting pushed down the steps. Could you keep an eye on things when we come in and see if you can catch them in the act?"

Should the gym teacher (who is a good sort) not act, we move up the chain calmly and cleanly, until I am standing in the principal's office yelling about assault law-suits.


On an upside, we got her pen and ink and some sample alphabets she likes. She's practicing.

Squish their miserable heads like grapes. The kids that are doing this have got to be stopped, and it's great that you are behind her 100%. It's a good lesson for Bunny to learn that there are things that are not tolerated, and this is one of them -- that when she is being hurt, that is just NOT ACCEPTABLE.

She hadn't complained because she's not actually getting hurt. She lands on her feet and it's a very short flight.

But, my stepfather put my mother in the hospital with a laundry basket and 5 steps. I'm not taking any chances. And she shouldn't have to "get used to it."

If I felt really evil, I'd suggest she actually fake a fall, and sit howling on the gym floor until the teachers took action. But that's just dramatics. I think the cool, logical approach is much better. Document, document, document.

Mudd can say "law of the jungle" all he wants, but I'm the biggest, meanest mama elephant out there and I will stomp those little hyenas.
