Bunny and I talked this evening.

She's not just taking a little crap at school (a little being defined as a random vicious comment that everyone gets). She's being actively assaulted on a daily basis. Some little bitch thinks it's funny to push her down the stairs of the gym.

So, she's keeping a log of what happens, when and who is behind her when she gets shoved. Also on the efforts she makes to avoid it. And Monday, she's going to the gym teacher with it. "I'm getting pushed down the steps. Could you keep an eye on things when we come in and see if you can catch them in the act?"

Should the gym teacher (who is a good sort) not act, we move up the chain calmly and cleanly, until I am standing in the principal's office yelling about assault law-suits.


On an upside, we got her pen and ink and some sample alphabets she likes. She's practicing.

Get the gym teacher to keep notes too. A kid's log will be taken only half-seriously. (Kids can be vindictive, so they may point out innocent kids in their notes), so have the gym teacher keep notes about when Bunny talked to her and what steps she took to curtail the problem. (This is good for both Bunny and the teacher) This way when you have to go to the next level, you can say, "Hey look, we asked her to do something about it and keep notes, she didn't. Now it's your problem"
