Yeah, the Religious Right was up in arms about the broom because of its "corrupting influences." They probably won't have anything against the lightsaber though, because it's not quite as heathenistic as *gasp* the evil-satan-worshiping-witchcraft*.

*I'm thoroughly amused that I accidentally typed "evil-satin-worshipping-witchcraft." Now, that would be awful.

The RR doesn't like SW much either. No God, just the Force which is both good and bad.

I found th Jar-Jar Binks head with "Edible Candy Tongue more reviolting actually. (That was around 1999, I;m scarred, i tell you!)
