Yeah, the Religious Right was up in arms about the broom because of its "corrupting influences." They probably won't have anything against the lightsaber though, because it's not quite as heathenistic as *gasp* the evil-satan-worshiping-witchcraft*.

*I'm thoroughly amused that I accidentally typed "evil-satin-worshipping-witchcraft." Now, that would be awful.
