There are logistics problems and my truck is VERY late.

Yesterday was Obi's band concert. He looked very spiffy in dresspants and shoes, a pink shirt and a tie that matched the blue stripes. I had to tie the tie, and even in a full Windsor it was too long. But man he's growing fast. He can finally wear regular pants without them falling off his skinny butt--yay!

The Dream Fairy disturbed me. It was vivid and realistic. I actually thought the kids had slacked and not gone to school. When I came in to use the computer, ALL my stuff: books, yarn etc was gone. Mudd was holding not a yard-sale, but a yard give away. He moved everything out and said "If you want it, take it." He'd just finished cleaning the hall closet and was starting on the garage when I wandered out. So I attacked the sanctum and started hauling out tubs of fabric I'll never use.

It was oddly liberating, even if I yelled at him and the kids for staying home.

My stomach is cranky, so are Obi's and Dollface's. I let them split an imodium. I've had 2. I need to get back to whole grain breakfast cereal, 12 grain lunch bread and eat better.

"Showdown at Yellowstone River" got its third rejection. EC turned it down for being too similar to an already accepted Birthstone piece. Loose ID turned it down for not being queer enough. Liquid Silver just said "Not our thing, thanks." If Pink Petal, Cobblestone and Carnal Desires all pass, it's back to EC. They did say "resub at a later date." Shadowfire is also an option, since it seems to fit their guidelines. We just hate Poser covers.

I got this from [livejournal.com profile] dakiwiboid
It should help out with my "finish 12 craft projects" idea.

The first five people to respond to this post will get something made by me. It will be about or tailored to those five lucky "victims."

This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:
- I make no guarantees that you will like what I make!
- What I create will be just for you.
- It'll be done this year.
- You have no clue what it's going to be. It may be inclusion in a novel. It may be crochet. I might make you a piece of jewelry, bake something for you or even make an herbal charm for you to tuck in your glove compartment. Who knows? Not you, that's for sure!
- I reserve the right to do something extremely strange.

The catch? Oh, the catch is that you have to put this in your journal as well, if you expect me to do something for you! Every version posted must be unique to its poster's own strange, wondrous and irreproducible talents.

My father is hospitalized.

The first thing you have to know about Dad is he NEVER gets sick. This time, he's in on an intravenous antibiotic drip and vicodin. An ear infection went opportunistic and he has septic arthritis now.

I know everyone is wiped out, tapped out and all. But if you can find just a little energy or a brief prayer, send it his way? Thanks.
And not just for Dad, but for my sister, [livejournal.com profile] jlm121 who is doing the hard work up in the City, since I'm 500 miles away.
