Busy birthday

Bun had her pass, and permission to see Fairy, so we went out for Obi's birthday.
Bradlikin has had a growth spurt and is taller than a Ford Focus.

A nice lunch at China Buffet with the four kids and then a trip to the Mall.

My dad sent Obi a Hot topic gift card (obi's idea). He got a t-shirt that says "THINK. (It's not illegal yet)" I got a PotC dayplanner.

Then it was off to build-a-bear
The boys went top of the line, the $25 snow-leopard. The face was irresistible. And then they dressed their leopards in matching Marine dress blues.

Fairy and Bradlikin are growing up fast. And in ways that really bother me. These kids are smart, all the brains in the world, and all they want are military careers. They've been raised jinoistic and dominionist. My kids are their rebellion.


A few random thoughts:

A gross of mardi gras beads is a LOT of beads
A gross of gold coins, ditto
1000 matchbooks? That's a fuck of a lot of matches. But the matchbooks are beautiful!
the seashell bowl holds 3 quarts
