valarltd | A good review of Shell Shocked

To be honest,

nbrooks and I worried about this one. A disabled Iraq vet, a double amputee and they're having sex? explicit sex? Sometimes with toys? And one's pagan? nobody will want that.

We figured it would be hard to place. Nuh-uhnh, the pub approached us. We figured it would be hard to sell. Nuh-unh. Peaked at number 8 on ARE's best seller list before it fell off. We figured the critics would hate it. They've loved it. Someone explain this biz to me in words of one syllable or less.

Anyway, Obsidian Bookshelf reviewed it today. Aside from some trouble with the blurb, Val really liked it.
