Remember that time when your cruel uncle was forcing you to marry the Evil Duke and I broke into the mansion to save you but I sliced my wrist open on the broken window glass and passed out? How I later tried to tell you that it was blood loss, but really it was only because I'm a big coward?

Yeah, sorry about that. It's really lucky that the Duke had that stroke and keeled over dead right before the wedding. Then again maybe it would've been better if he'd died right *after* so that you would have inherited his millions.

Mostly, none of that went very well....
