Friday:
Because of Equipment shuffling, I got off early. so i showered and changed and finished packing. Thank goodness I made list.

I drove down to Southhaven and made it there before my partners in crime. By the time I found our table and ops, they had made it too. The Dealers' room manager, Shorty, moved us down two spaces to give us more room to manage the booth. We got all set up, Elizabeth had an off-site siging. She got us checked in and ran.

My first panel was an 11 PM reading. after the dealers'room closed at 7, we contemplated hiking out for dinner--parking being so crowded that the walk to the restaurants on Hack's Cross Road was shorter than any walk to where you might park. Sara and I opted to eat in the room, since we both brought coolers.

Sara went to her panel. I hung out and vegged, very tired from being up early for work. I did make it to the 11 PM reading with Julie Mandala of Yard Dog. There were delays, and she left early taking the audience with her. I do have a couple fans, so Sara and I entertained them.

Saturday was the busy day.
I worked the Dealers' room until about noon, because the others had panels.

I tried on a corset...DO WANT! It does amazing things to my shape. Distract 'em with cleavage, empty the wallet, replace with books, and send on their way.

David joined us, bearing food and generally being awesome. Then I had a 3 PM thing and 4 PM Darrell reading and the 5 PM banquet. I dressed for dinner and was fashionably late. Because by damn, I was going to lose the Darrell in style. And, thanks to Sara, I did. The glittery black dress, vbblack thigh highs and garters with red ribbons were very sexy. I knew I had lost during the reading when I heard the title "Elvis Presley and the Bloodsucker Blues." Steampunk lesbians can't beat vampire Elvis.

After dinner, we had to get everyone ready. Elizabeth has a black leather corset. Sara had her gorgeous red brocade one. And we did up David as a pirate. This brave man let us do Sparrow-esque eye make up and glitter him too,. But he drew the line at a floral kerchief. Because even my sexiness couldn't override the florals.

We bounced for a while.and then Sara and I had a 10 Pm release party for the Kerlak Dragon anthology, which sold like hotcakes. Then I had an 11 on paranormal and the new media. we talked about all sorts of aspects of where the paranormal is and where it's going. Then the vampire party was delayed because the masquerade ran over.

Sara and I did dance a good bit at the Vampire dance party. We poured ourselves back into bed about 4 AM

SUnday:
Holy Day of commerce. I took first shift as the others had long drives. The sales were pretty slow, even today.
Sara had a steampunk costuming panel. I did "Is the Short Story Dead" with a bunch of guys.
Not dead, just stunned...

Then it was time to pack and load and leave.

I'm beat. I had a great time, got to kisss a lovely man, hold a gorgeous lady in my arms and dance with her and turn every head in the room.
