Bun has been a sick Bunny for the last few days. She's been in a lot of pain. Turns out she has a cyst on her left ovary. So, we get to see a pediatric gynecologist.
Spent most of thursday and today in doctors' offices.
This is personal & you need not say, but how old is Bun? Because I had that same sort of thing happening starting at age 12--2 years before I hit menarche. Damn straight it was painful. Nobody knew what is was until my mother noticed that (once I admitted to the pain) it always came around at the same time, every *other* month. It wasn't always as severe later on, but that ovary tended to have those recurring cysts at ovulation time. Yuck. My sympathies are with her!
She's 16, almost 17. This just started last week. She had really bad cramps before she got on the pill, but she hasn't had much trouble for the last year.
Ow! Poor girl. I do feel very much for her...I hope she doesn't have to deal with this every other month from now on...it's no fun and it is awfully painful. (long-ago family doc put me on the pill at 18 at least partially for same reasons).
