valarltdToday, someone planted a car bomb in Dr. Trent Pierce's car.
It went off.
It went off two blocks from two schools my children were attending!
Now, we know Dr. Pierce only in passing, from his sponsorship of the Crittenden Arts Council. But still, I understand he's one of the best.
Those of you with kids, give 'em an extra hug. I'm pretty shaky, and glad I found this out only after work.

Date: 2009-02-05 12:49 am (UTC)I remember back to the shootings in Jonesboro (actually Bono), my kids were there, at the elementary school. My nephews were at the middle school. It was horrible for them and for us.
I'm think of you guys tonight.
