Jan. 5th, 2009 11:21 amYesterday was a 5 hour meeting in Jackson Mississippi for all the GM drivers.
The short version: I still have a job. 13 people lost their routes and are being re-assigned. So I feel very very happy.
The longer version: I will no longer be delivering to all the dealerships I've spent a year and a half servicing and building up a relationship with. My new work is much more driving, much less unloading. And it starts at 5 AM. Phhhbbbbbbt.
But, I keep working a job I'm good at, for the same pay and with my health insurance, for the next 13 months, provided GM holds out that long.
