Combat Shopping

I now understand the thrill.

Never before (and hopefully never again) have I been to Wal-Mart half an hour before closing on Christmas Eve.

We needed lasagna and salad, bread and oranges, candy and glue.
We got them all, despite near-misses in running over unattended children.

Then the line...oh dear Bird, the line. But once the person who thought 35<20 got out of the line, we did fine.

I was all giddy in the parking lot, like I'd just come off a roller coaster or evaded death or something much more strenuous than simply acquiring a lasagna.

I swear, it was an endorphin rush.

Never again.

I told my friend to make sure she donned her protective hockey gear before venturing into the local WallyWorld for last minute things.

Me- I've decided that moving Christmas to January 6 was the best decision ever. Plus, we get stuff really cheap!
