For a copy of "Talk Like a Pirate Day"
Sep. 19th, 2008 01:01 am"Talk Like a Pirate Day" is a Torquere Single Shot.
Blurb: David and Robin have been together for a long while, and they're off on their annual vacation at the lake house. It’s talk like a pirate day, and the guys dress up a little to play, taking the boat out for the day and playing pirate and captive. Nothing is perfect, not even their vacation, because Robin's health problems keep David on his toes. Can they enjoy their time together without the real world intruding?
To be entered, leave a comment and name the fictional pirate--full names! No "Captain Bilgerat"--and the movie. You may use the IMDB. Non-LJ commenters welcome, but be sure to leave a name and a way for me to contact you. All comments screened to keep the contest fun.
(and if you miss #10, you have no business on my f'list. 8).)
1)
This movie is a sequel to number 3. As is the actor.
2)
From the most quotable movie of all time.
3 & 4)
This is a twofer. You have to name BOTH pirates. Made in 1935, it was the hero's first major picture. It's also one of my orphan fandoms.
5)
"Peter, give me back my dignity!"
6)
Just name the Captain. He's the one in the middle. This SF spoof came out in 83 and featured the Templars as the villains.
7)
Fictional Ancestor. As this is a promo still, any movie title is fine
8)
He is not the very model of a modern major general.
9)
Arguably the most famous fictional pirate of all, subject of books, stage plays, movies and TV series. Disney's version of this set the "pirate accent."
10)
Please? Do you need a clue? 17 acts of piracy before the age of 30.
