"It commits neither to the erotic nor to the political, and ultimately, left me vaguely dissatisfied with both. Technical things that usually hold me back from enjoying, like the very mild headhopping, don’t intrude for a change, which says a lot for the author’s storytelling skills. I’m just not sure which story she really wanted to tell. The world she’s created certainly merits a lot of exploring, but that can’t happen within the confines of Ligatos’ walls.
Either way, though, it’s a story that makes you think long after it concludes. The possibilities are infinitely intriguing."
