I'm glad you're able to see the world that way... :)

The whole job situation just sucks...

I wasn't sure what to say earlier - I had a lot of mixed feelings... the whole situation just sucks for you - but I'm actually really happy with your company that they care about the shape their drivers are in, in terms of safety... but at the same time, I'm angry on your behalf, because I know of so many drivers with worse medical issues that are still on the road...

DUDE! So awesome! That was a hell of a walkabout the little guy went on. How is he?

He's thinner and grubby a little slow, a little dead.
Hungry. He's been eating all evening. The kids gave him a bath and have been loving him. He looks very smug to be home.

The D-Man checks in: Walk-About can be in interesting experience. Be curious to see if this little guy even ventures close to an outside door ever again after this experience. Freedom & the great outdoors are both great... But then so too is warm, dry, secure, and a steady food supply you don't have to hunt down & kill yourself... Plus nothing in the shut-in world bigger than you are that might want to do anything to you more evil than simply cuddle you to death.

Lost 1 cat out the door once for all of 20 seconds. She shot under a bush, then ran behind the hot tub... Where she came face-to-beak with our (then resident) prairie chicken who had decided our back yard (with all the corn we laid out for our squirrels) was a nice place to live. One loud squawk and wing flapping later, and pussy-poo shot back into the house, hit the just-waxed kitchen floor at full speed and did a cartoon running in place imitation for a few seconds with NO traction... then vanished, only to reappear in the bay window overlooking the back yard with the biggest eyes I've ever seen on a cat, and the terrified expression on her face: "What the Hell was THAT! Bird don't get that BIG!"

Kitty never went anywhere close to an open door after that, even after our prairie chicken mysteriously disappeared (we could never prove it, but we suspected our Korean neighbor lady).

Tribble goes nowhere NEAR the door now. Every entrance or exit used to be a battle to keep him inside. Now, he's sleeping under Mudd's desk a lot.
