Circle Dark has suspended operations. After paying me the end of my royalties, they released the rights to Nikolai. They were consistently above-board and dead honest. Should the legal problems resolve and operations resume, I will be pleased to do business with them again.


Tonight, I got word that Dark Roast Press has accepted Nikolai. Signed my contracts and all is well in the world. With luck and negotiation, we'll even be able to keep the wonderful cover!

I sent the query last night to Helga, my editor friend there.
She wrote back today and said "SEND IT!"

I sent it at 4;30 PM
By 8:45 I had the acceptance letter.

Fastest acceptance in history.

Nikolai sold 19 copies at Circle Dark. I'm hoping for a lot more at Dark Roast.
