Wednesday, I dropped a loadbar across the back of my neck.

This is a 10' long piece of 4x4 aluminum. I was hooking it to the upper rail (about 6.5' high) when one end slipped and it came down on me. I hurt. I am having trouble holding my head up and level. Shooting pains go down the sides of my spine now and then.

Today, I was getting a piece out and a sheetmetal piece, either a door or a tailgate, but at least 20lbs, fell on my face, snapping my head back. I heard crunching from my neck and my glasses were knocked off.

I'm seeing my dr Monday.

(After I pay my first traffic ticket for a burned-out brake light...which ISN'T)

I'm okay. It's just been hurting a little more everyday

It's not emergency room pain, it's just achy stuff.

You need comfort to go with the hurt! Look at my icon and you may feel better.

Oh. Man. I've been there -- in a way. I've dropped booms of various sizes on myself (I lost control of a mast once, but I just bailed on that one, no WAY I was catching it), and been cracked with them in the head, shoulders, and kidneys. The big ones are at least that size. So I feel your pain, in my own way. Was it solid or hollow?

You just sound a mess. I hope you can see a chiro. Hot and cold packs, alternating, will pump blood through muscle knots, in a pinch. Hang in there.

Glad you're seeing a doctor, but I wonder whether a witch-doctor might be more useful. Some prescription for keeping things from falling on you.

jesus. . . I hope you are feeling a little better. But I am thinking that this could require serious medical treatment quickly.

Yikes! I'm glad you are going to the doc's. Hope you recover speedily and that next week is much better.
