I am one sad Mother-trucker tonight
Feb. 1st, 2008 09:14 pmMy favorite radio program is off the air.
The Rigrocker made his final run with Hammer Down Radio today.
I was there for the first show, and I was there for the last.
I loved those two hours of trucking songs between the morning talk of Freewheelin' and the afternoon politics of Michaelangelo Signorelie.
The first song he ever played was "Convoy."
The last was "The road goes on forever and the party never ends."
I can catch him in the mornings on Outlaw Country, but much as I like Evan Lockridge, I didn't need him hosting 2 hours of trucking news in the middle of my day.
