2007 in review

valarltdI'm old.
We toasted in 2008 at the Gay & Lesbian center at 9:50. I wore make-up. As I put it on, I realized I was making a hash of it, and cleaned up what looked like two black eyes. This is why we don't turn Repair-dyke loose on the make-up case. I asked Bun for lipstick that wasn't too pink and the first words were "For you or Dad?"
It's barely 11 and I'm ready to crash
(could have something to do with Tribble singing me awake at 6:30 with "love songs of the humpbacked tiger-cat" then taking Dollface out for her birthday: Wendy's and The Waterhorse and her ear repierced.)

General recap:
I sold 15 stories, and wrote a bunch more. I landed a 35K/year job after the run for my other shut down. Mudd and I came through a couple of marital crises.
Bun got out of the hospital, with her meds properly adjusted. She passed 9th grade, despite being absent from Christmas on. She loves marching band. She discovered her life's ambition to be a translator and live in Japan. She is teaching herself Japanese.
Obi did therapy to cope with losing his best friend. He continued to make excellent grades and took up the French horn.
Jonner found his life's ambition: to be a pirate cook! Steal recipes, make them his own and run a restaurant. So I've been teaching him more about coooking. 10 years old and he can bake a cake from a mix, and cookies from scratch.
Dollface trusted us enough to tell us she was having trouble with voices. Her meds make her a little spacy, but she has advanced to first grade and is doing well. She started puberty and got her first bra.
A most eventful year, but we all survived it and came through.
Both of those were in some doubt this time last year.
