Shaking hands
Oct. 29th, 2002 01:30 pmI'm leaving work early today.
It's time for my semi-annual ear-vacuuming.
I'm scared. I hate this procedure.
I'll be ok. I always am, but this is so hard to do when I'm not sick!
I know, I know, it's to clean out the mastoid cavity so that I don't get an infection. (and to monitor the state of the right skin graft.)
But the suction just squicks me. And I mean that in the old sense of gut-level repulsion that makes me want to bolt from the office.
Half an hour. Breathe, Angel, breathe. You can go to Hobby Lobby afterward.
(And there's the parent meeting for The Nutcracker tonight. My two toy soldiers are excited. Well one is, one is ticked about being given a "boy's part.")

Re: Eek!
Date: 2002-11-01 06:16 am (UTC)It doesn't hurt, unless something that needs to come out is reluctant to go.
The Dr. says my hearing has greatly improved since April, when we got the infection cleared up.
