As a result, the reviews have been coming out in newsletter format and not making the site.
I found two of my pieces reviewed.

Josh and Anthony are preparing to spend their first Valentine’s Day together. Anthony, an artist who doesn’t make much money, is worried about becoming financially dependent on Josh. He’s also concerned that their relationship isn’t equitable and that he isn’t getting the sexual attention that he deserves. Josh’s Valentine’s Day gift—a reenactment of a Roman master-slave fantasy—changes and intensifies their relationship.
I found Josh really annoying at first—he’s basically a short, pushy man with a major Napoleon complex. He doesn’t seem to be very nice to Anthony, either. However, as the story develops and the men begin to live out their fantasy, the tables turn and their love for one another becomes apparent. Both men take turns as master and slave, and the interactions between the two are delicious. Josh allows his submissive side to take over for once, and learns how to give pleasure in addition to receiving it. Anthony experiences an artistic renaissance that finally helps him become financially independent. The bondage grows increasingly intense and the sex scenes are graphic, especially as the men’s trust grows. The story is well-written and the emotions between the two men come across as genuine. Readers who enjoy bondage and fantasy role-play in their M/M love stories will appreciate Collared Hearts.

Dr. Victor Williams, renowned university professor, and Shane Davis, acclaimed author of the very popular series starring the perverse serial sex-torture killer Fresno Blue, have been partners for many years. Lately Victor has begun to need increasingly violent sex. Shane is sickened by some of the things his lover needs and frightened because Fresno whispers vicious and sadistic ideas in his head. Victor is preparing an elaborate scene of ancient Egypt for Halloween display where Victor, as priest, will resurrect his beloved pharaoh, played by Shane. Shane is hoping to escalate the abuse enough Victor will plead intemperance, but Victor still wants more. Fresno Blue wants to be let out to play with Victor. Shane is afraid he’ll lose control.
I’ve read a few BDSM genre books that I now realize were more sexual play by controlling alpha types than the real thing. Raising the Dead is a well written story with characters that are well developed and likeable, but went too far down the sexual violence road for my taste. The abusive language, while I understand it was a turn on for Victor, really turned me off. The violence bothered me even more than it bothered Shane. This is case of personal taste affecting the rating, but I don’t know how to rate it any better except to say BDSM enthusiasts would enjoy Raising the Dead. It is not for the faint hearted, but I must convey the plot and characters are extremely well written and the storyline is appealing. Both Victor and Shane are congenial and charming. Victor’s ancient Egyptian themed Halloween play is especially intriguing and I loved the ending. I thoroughly enjoyed the enchanting story of the genuinely profound love Shane and Victor share and the sacrifice and concern that comes with the territory. If you don’t mind a little intense BDSM, this is the book for you.
