Actually, I want to read that story you mentioned on my journal last year, about the man who married his wife in South Africa, was it? Despite the law?
That's Nikolai Tanis and Steven are main characters, but the big love affair is Nick and his mentor, James.
It was set in the future, when the US had Balkanized and the Confederated States had implemented a lot of nasty racist laws. The Sparkses are legally married in Pennsylvania (where they got married) but in Tennessee, they're breaking the law. Then again, Steven can't legally wear the side-arm his bodyguard position requires of him, but no one is going to cross Ambassador Ligatos.
And since my editor is very, very fond of Steven, his part may get larger.
They don't fight crime. They are criminals. Very powerful, very wealthy criminals.
Ok, I'm tired. But still, coolio. Much much coolness. I have to remember your writing pseud for when I move and get settled and start writing in earnest (I eagerly hope/await).
