So Thursday, I went up to Kansas City. Mom needed some moral support, so I went. This let her get some important things done. Joe even seemed to rally a little. He was getting up, eating and even came out and sat up for a while. As weak as he's been, this is a MAJOR improvement.

I got to see my dad and both my sisters. They're doing well.

The trip home was long, But I took a nice long break in St.Louis.
I met

dakiwiboid and

reannon for dinner. Kiddo was along too and tolerated us silly old ladies. The Spaghetti Warehouse in Laclede's Landing is very nice. It does look rather like a bordello.

And I blame my dinner partners for this idea: a bordello themed restaurant, complete with bed-booths, too much red plush and pictures of the naked hottie of your preferred gender on the bottom of the plate.

nbrooks and we got started plotting for Shifting Back and sent Glad Hands off to Ellora.

Also? TotS Monday, and since it's a first Monday, that means a new Kestrel chapter!

Dishes, laundry, post-office, grocery shop. the cats are looking sullen and hostile from lack of cat food (Mudd used the end of it Saturday, and there's still about a day's worth sitting in the bowl.)
