Sometimes, i even amaze myself.
Nov. 14th, 2006 11:19 am28,336 words. That's about 2024 words a day or 5 pages.
I have 2 short stories and am well into several novels. The idea is to get the momentum going and then finish them.
"Paying Forfeits" continues to sap me far more than a lousy 20,000 word novella should. I'm only 7K into it. But at least I have a bit of conflict and plot amid all the sex.
Glad hands is about 12,000 words in. I'm liking it, but feel like I'm writing it piecemeal. The fun and exciting bits are after the first couple chapters.
Niko-Chan is about 45K and is only going to get longer. The thing that keeps tripping me up is having to work around the "sympathetic character cannot commit rape" guideline all the erotica houses have. So we're all very vague on what happened to Tanis the night she was punished. It's coming out in dribs and drabs: a bastinado here, some sodomy there, locked in the closet in the next chapter. And since three of the five men in her life are involved, I'm all tangled up. But we're definitely hitting both the B and the T of GLBT with this book.
Peregrine off High Barbary is coming out piecemeal too, and hitting the bisexual part. Adlai got married, early on. Nathaniel is still gay. Thomas is still bi, giving equal consideration to the pretty girls and the pretty boys. Lord Ismail of the Barbary coast is bi as well.
Gemini Paradox is cooking. Zara is hot under all the ice, and has amazing chemistry with her David and his twin. (she has even more with her own twin)
