Well, I did it. Still not quite sure I see the point of this, but it looked cool. I am such a sucker for the latest thing.
OK, let's see. What do I want from this? A place to write what I'm thinking. To bitch and moan about my life, to beat my head against the brick wall of writer's block, and a place to happy dance when something goes write or I finish something, anything. Be it a bookmark, an afghan or a story.
I was dreadful today. I bought yarn and fabric. I need yarn and fabric like I need a hole in my head. But i was inspired by $2/yard rainbow prints: dots, squares, harlequin and stripes. I bought 1/2 yard each, and 2 yards black for a quilt.
I also got some of Red Heart's Reef color. It's blue and green and coral. Very pretty. And a pound of Soft White. I'm finishing a baby afghan for a darling boy one of my co-workers adopted.
It's been a rough month. Car repairs, the washer burnt out its belt, the microwave died, the A/C, having been de-fibbed on July 5, went into terminal arrest, I broke a chunk off my crockpot (just the handle), and my husband nearly destroyed the front-room ceiling fan trying to put it back together.
(I reminded him to have me do that next time. After all that's why he married a bi-chick, she's good with tools.) oh, and our gutter are rotting our roof, so I have to remove them.
Never a dull mo around here. Must go check the laundry. It's probably ready for more double-foot agitation in the bathtub.
