Just thinking
Mar. 14th, 2006 06:57 amI hate stupid television. Let me qualify that: I hate Television, period.
I watched Numb3rs for the first time last Friday. David Krumhlz is adorable, and those curls! Not to mention the whole John Glover guest star thing. I don't think I'm going to take it up as a regular show.
It irks me to have figured out the whole thing before the cops did. I figured out why the women had been killed a whole commercial break before the characters did.
This bugged me about the "Damok and Gilad at Tenagra" episode of ST:TNG. I figured out they were speaking mytho-poetically by the second act. It took the crew until the fourth.
Anyone else have this problem? The whole "Come on, you slowpokes! The answer is patently obvious!" moment, 5 to 15 minutes before the characters?
I guess I'm used to stuff like 24, with long arcs, rather than neatly-wrapped-in-an-hour dramas.
Also, I got an anonymous flame on The Pit. Someone please explain this to me:
I kinda like this story. I actually haven't read your Indiana Jones story and I
want to say:DON'T EVER RUIN THE IJ SECTION WITH SLASH YOU BUTCH LESBIAN!
It was for "Benefits of a Classical Education" which is Henry/Marcus quoting poetry at each other.
Please, someone explain to me how writing two old geezers have aural romance makes me a butch lesbian?
I'm a butch Earth Mother, but love men much too much to commit to being a lesbian.
I decided to just turn off my anonymous reviews. Keeps those without the courage of their convictions from hassling me.
Just sulking around. Mudd's really sick, taking his second day off work. And I think I'm coming down with it.

Date: 2006-03-14 01:52 pm (UTC)I figure out TV all the time before they do. I was watching SG-1 with some friends and went *Gasp* "It's so and so!" and my friend's hubby turned to me. "Yeah, I figured that out the first time we saw him." *sigh*
As for the random reviews...It seems to be going around. I don't do the slash thing, but geez, show some tact! Another friend of mine got one of those illiterate ones too.
I think there must just be random irritation going around. A friend and I both just got booted off the flist of another girl we know because we told her she was being rude by telling us what we could or could not post on our LJs. Irritating part is, we're twice her age and she's lecturing us on "LJ etiquette" because I posted something she didn't like. The girl posts drunk/naked posts on a regular basis and I got lectured because I reposted something to support a friend who just miscarried. *sigh*
(((huggles))) Feel better.
