Labor is finished
Jan. 29th, 2006 11:08 amAnd I have given birth to a 10,103 word piece of lesbian erotica.
I tried to figure out why I don't like writing lesbian sex. The conclusion I came to was that it involves men. I've seen so many men leer and smack and go "oh baby that's so hot!" when in reality they'd punch a woman and called her a "fucking dyke," when they'd vote against gay marriage, when they'd much rather all of us looked like lipstick lesbans and not as we actually do, when they throw their own lesbian daughters out of the house and kill 15 year old girls who identify as such.
It feels like I am putting a piece of my sexuality, one that has nothing to do with men, out to be pawed over like yard sale merchandise. It feels like a minstrel show.
The only reason I managed this was because I know Torquere's readership is mostly female and because I loved the concept.
But "Rock Us All Down" is done. I'll be editing it tomorrow and send it off Monday.
