My first rejection slip from Torquere

A "I really like it, it's well written, it just doesn't mesh with the others in the anthology" rejection slip.
I can actually see that. Play Ball should be light and fluffy and sexy. Not dark and depressing about a a Vietnam vet who can't outrun his nightmares except by racing, drugs or sex.
But she gave me a couple alternate places to look, so I'll shop it to them.

Ah well, I've looked a couple of places. And a real paperback publishing might not be too bad.
