Various and sundry
Dec. 1st, 2005 09:15 pmAll sorts of stuff.
Stupid bank floats our deposits, even the direct ones. We got hit for almost $100 this week. We can't afford that.
The play went off pretty well yesterday. We're going to see it tomorrow. The kids are adorable. The Ghost of Christmas Past is 14, and absolutely beautiful. They have him all draped and glowy. There won't be a dry seat in the house under any girl between 11 and 25.
The adult man who is playing Scrooge commented on my Jonner (who is playing Ignorance) that he's perfectly wicked and every time the Ghost of Christmas Present brushes Jonner's hair off his forehead (to show the doom written there) he expects to see three sixes in a cluster.
Victorian is an excellent look on Bunny. She had a nice bun and long ringlets near her face, and a lovely pink dress with white kid gloves. Very much the lady writer.
Made cookies tonight for Mudd to take to PFlag. Bun's working on a second batch for the kids at home. I'm seized with a mad baking urge: a batch of cookies every day, each day a different recipe, until Christmas.
Dollface is in danger of failing kindergarten. I'm working with her on flashcards, and we're playing with her new letter of the week every week. Somehow teaching her the manual alphabet for it seemed to help. Between being nearsighted and her lisp, she's at a double disadvantage.
*******
Also. Looking for those willing to beta-read original slash style fiction. Must be OK with kink. This is a "Kinky Gay Pygmalion turned Clockwork Orange in Dark Future America." It's about 115 pages.

Date: 2005-12-03 02:22 am (UTC)Well he isn't the only one. I love that child with all my heart but there are times when the impish look combines with the glint in his baby blues and I can hear the theme music from the omen.
I hope all goes well with Dollface, the child is smart as a whip, of course she's yours and Mudd's how could she being anything else. I suspect once she
overcomes the alphabet her plans for world domination will come online.

Date: 2005-12-03 02:24 am (UTC)Their grandfather has some ideas for xmas. but additional ones could not hurt
Bunny in particular may be tough for him.
Obi and Jonner are legos, and Dollface is Dora the Explorer.
