Excerpt, sexual, but not explicit:
She was smiling when James came home. Nick, as always, waited in the kitchen door with his eyes down.
“When he is ready, James, I would like to steal him from you,” she said, kissing him.
He returned it warmly. “For how long, dearest?”
She looked him over. “A week. at the least.”
Nick listened, remembering what Ligatos had said about her and pain. He thought about how she made him feel when she stroked and kissed him. When Ligatos looked over at him, almost as if consulting him, he gave a small, hesitant nod.
“Yes, but give us four more weeks, perhaps five. Then he’ll be even more ready for you.”
She gave him a bright, beaming smile, and he met it wit a hungry look. He let her go and stepped away. She laughed softly then walked to Nick.
He dropped to his knees at her expectant look. “Thank you, Ma’am. I’ll try not to disappoint.”
She took his head in both hands, as she would a large dog, and kissed his forehead. “You’re going to be fine, darling.” She laughed softly when he blushed, gave Ligatos another kiss and left. She knew her James would be down later.
Nick waited on his knees until Ligatos stroked his head in passing and said “You may stand, boy,’ with an indulgent chuckle. He smiled at how fast Nick came up. “Powerful, isn’t she?”
