Tuesday head-desking
Nov. 15th, 2005 09:30 pmIt's been a day.
The weather was dreadful: gusts of wind that nearly knocked me out of my lane on the bridge. Torrential downpours, marked only by three warning drops of rain. (You want comedy-level fast reflexes, watch how fast Angel can get an umbrella up. you want slapstick, watch her herd 3 kids under it)
And tornados.
pickingroses asked if it wasn't a bit late in the season for them.
I shrugged and said "Yeah, but nobody told the tornados that!"
Bunny's school lost power. Mudd's school was evacuated for tornados. The gutter blew off our house.
My umbrella blew inside out and I got totally, completely drenched. I hate squelching about in wet shoes. I was late to work tonight because of play practice.
I only got about 400 words written. There was OMG, Fandom High Drama!
But there was lasagna for dinner, and cake left over from the boss's birthday.
It wasn't a total loss.
