Tag ends of Rita

We're getting the end of Hurricane Rita here. We had 40 mph winds this morning and torrential rain, which flooded both bayous and our cross-street. I watched a little sedan inch its way through fender high water, and we decided to go to Kroger instead of Save-a-Lot so we wouldn't have to go down that way.

Everything is pretty much OK. We have a few tree parts down and had a power flicker. But that's just minor.

Mudd's going away tomorrow. He has a conference in Conway. I get to single-mom for 3 nights and 3 days.

Dad's birthday is Friday, I need to get a card out.

It was a perfect day for stew. I used up the end of the leftover pork roast, threw in carrots, onions and potatoes and a couple packages of pork gravy mix. It was good.

Tomorrow, probably hamburger helper. Tuesday, chicken and rice. Wed, spaghetti and Thursday, sloppy joes.

Must get some rest. Have spent far too many nights having gay cybersex with my imaginary boyfriend.

we keep having tornados. We've spent about five hours total in the basement today. Gone down there four times. About to go down again, I think.
And a tree branch fell on the car up in Memphis. >>;

Mississippi State got hit by a tornado. o_O;

We are just getting watches, no tornados on the ground.

Your family car? Insurance will cover that.

The weather's nuts. We still have weeks left in hurricane season and we're already to the Rs.

yeah, we've had like eight or nine warnings today. Might have another warning in a few minutes.
Sigh.
At least my dorm has a basement. I don't think the others do.
