Miserably sick. Low-grade fever and general wooziness. Sour tummy which is the last remnant of last night's 2:00-3:30 AM potty-a-thon.
But, I am about 150 words into a story for Torquere's "Men in Uniform" anthology. Cosplayers. Sigh. I am so the geek girl. Deadline is March 1.
fandomhigh is The Bad Crack that Ate My Brain.
And if I don't get my homework for Jareth's class done, who knows what he'll turn me in to?
I got
metaquotes'd today.
Dollface gets her glasses tomorrow. She's also requested sneakers.
Library closes in 15. I skipped out of
reannon's chat because I had to man the desk. No work-study student tonight. Ergo, Angel writes.
Symptoms of Peri-menopause:
Menstrual cycles become shorter, longer, or unpredictable. I am no longer clockwork. My cycles are lengthening.
Flow becomes heavier or lighter Seems heavier, and brighter red too.
Low blood sugar--no evidence
Fatigue several days before menstruation. Sick, and exhausted as if someone mopped the floor with me.
Weight gain--avoiding the scale
Decreased sex drive: Very large, very noticeable. In the last 6 months, I've gone from "Twice a day would be nice if you can't manage 4 times." to "Well, if it's really been three weeks, I supposed I should." Mudd has even noticed I'm not as sexy and that, well, that's like the statue of Lincoln deciding to take a stroll around the Memorial. And maybe a dip in the Reflecting Pool. I love my husband, but boy when they coined the word "low sex drive" he was the poster child.
Headaches: I can't remember the last time my head didn't hurt.
Dry and/or itchy vulva: not lubricating like I used to. Haven't been this dry since lactation.
Increased incidence of yeast infections: first one in years.
Sounds like I need to talk to my doctor at my annual. I keep finding lumps, small ones, that are gone the next month. I have no clue how my family does menopause. The last 3 generations didn't do it. They all had hysterectomies in their 30s.

Did you see the fight I managed to start in (of all places) Diplomacy class?
