Make a list of all the characters in your icons. (Although you may have more than one icon of a single character, they only go on the list once.) Alphabetize it. Take the first two people on the list; that's your first pairing. Second two people; second pairing, etc.

Alexandrian_Librarian (my default)/Captain Blood: In a bazaar in Cairo, the Captain finds an odd four-eared cat. he decides it's a good-luck charm and takes it aboard. Every night, he is visited by a very beautiful, very wise woman, and every day, the cat keeps the ship free of rats.

Debbie Novotny/Han Solo: I don't care who the fuck you are. It's my diner, now sit down and shut up. What'll you have, honey?

Luke Skywalker/Mal Reynolds: The pretty blond boy-whore was too clean for the world he was plying his trade on. No fancy companion, this one, just quick and cheap. When he asked for passage off-world, something made Mal say yes, he even suggested working for the fare instead of the cash that was so desperately needed. The man who came aboard was nothing like the boy he'd had in the alley. And everything about him said Trouble, from his stance to the weird weapon he carried.

Offred/Spock: Zephram Cochrane never made it to warp speed. But Vulcans observed anyway. As the countries slipped into theocracy, they worked undercover to remove the women to safer locations. The one called Offred was quite intelligent, grasping all the details quickly, and asking far too many questions. The Captain decided to keep her for his make, T'Pring having died of snakebite the year before.

The only things that change when I alphabetize by last names:
Debbie Novotny/Offred: The Resistance's escape is a time tunnel into the past. Offred is hastened into it, and wakes, still in the red clothes, on Liberty Avenue. Amazed by the sight of so many words, she just reads signs for an hour until Debbie shows up to open the Diner. She has a cup of coffee, (on Deb) and explains everything. "Goddamn theocrats," Debbie mutters. "I knew it would come to that. Look, sweetie, you need a job, I need another waitress. You have a job. And I don't have space, but you can crash on my son's couch." About then Michael and Ben come in for breakfast, having gotten Hunter off to school. Debbie introduces them to their new houseguest.
(Near impossible pairing as Debbie is straight, straight, straight.)

Han Solo/Spock. Let's use the Ur narrative here. On a mission for Starfleet, Spock is captured and imprisoned. The conditions of atmosphere and rotation, combined with Corellian pheremones from his cell-mate, send him into pon farr. Han, feeling generous (and horny), and having nothing to lose, helps him out in exchange for a jailbreak.

This (*points*) is the only icon I have that's not a symbol, and that's a pairing I really don't want to think about.

Vader/Tagge.

Lovely. According to the radio scripts, Tagge was trying to convince Tarkin to take the Death Star for himself.

I've written some extended Tagge family fic. I changed it from the Marvel canon and made Domina, Orman and Silas his children instead of his sibs.

That's Admiral Motti, I think. General Tagge is the scarred fellow with the speaking part who doesn't hork Vader off.

There was always a great deal of confusion over who was Motti and who was Tagge. But technically, we're both right. Your icon is indeed Motti and Vader. But I remembered it being Tagge who got choked, which was the case in both the novel and the radio.

Such a geek girl.
