Adventures in Homeschooling
Jan. 22nd, 2013 01:00 pmThere was workbook work this morning and a trip to the library. Olivia got a library card, and they misspelled her name. I looked and said, "Congratulations. You're Kantos Kan's daughter-in-law." (Olvia Mathis is a minor character in Chessmen of Mars) This was quickly repaired. Our librarian, who looks like a 20-something Giles, is very cute when he blushes.
We mailed packages for my mom and Naomi.
And then, Olivia announced she wanted to read Romeo and Juliet. I suggested she see the movie instead. So she is watching the Zefferelli version, with Michael York as Tybalt. (I told her "That's Basil Exposition from the Austin Powers movies.) Oli is apparently a Benvolio/Romeo shipper.
But while I applaud her interest in the Bard, I cannot write because she is on my computer.
