So, this morning I got up and got around. I finished my t-shirt for the protest and headed out. Alas, I scorched the shirt.
The graphic looks like this:

But I went out and held up my sign and got sunburned. We chanted and sang and waved at the passing cars.

I'm fourth from the left.
My sign said "Ministry of Love. ROOM 101"

I was ill, so I came home early, threw up, had a short nap, fixed lunch and went to work.
I was sent on an errand for work, and found

Date: 2005-06-16 11:15 pm (UTC)The only reason religion exists is because people fear what they cannot explain. They fear repercusions for their earthly acts, thinking there is a definitive "right" and "wrong" chizzled into stone as defined by an omnipotent being that has more mood swings than a 14 year old girl on her period.
We are gods and this is our heaven. We make the world around us what it is, not the other way around. Live now; do not spend your time worshiping a god that would so easily punish you for petty earthly acts that are defined as immoral by a vague piece of literature written thousands of years ago by an archaic society. Christianity's truth is about as plausable as the Greek gods existance.

I think religion is a necessity. i see how dreadful people are WITH it and can only shudder at the thought of people without it. (And you are no good argument for that.)
The optimist hopes this is the best of all possible worlds. The pessamist fears that is true. This ain't heaven. this is the 9 to 5 grind before quitting time.
