We went down and Bunny marched in the parade.
The Group made a big banner that read "Liberty and Justice For All...Except For" that the adult sponsors carried. The kids each carried a poster with one of their self-descriptions on it. Bunny's read "bisexual." The last walker carried a sign that said "You."
I stood on the sidelines and cheered and applauded. And signed up to help next year.
It was a very PG parade. We had a few drag queens and leathermen, but even they were discreet.
Bunny has already appropriated my Skinny White Chick CD. She really liked the live music, and she loves the way it sounds on CD. Me? I fed SJ (the Skinny White Chick) eggplant caviar.
We had dinner at the Center, and Bun got a huge snowcone. Kiwi flavored.
It was a lovely afternoon. And we made the 6 o'clock news, looking good.
And my "Kermit isn't the only one with a rainbow connection" shirt was a big hit.
I've heard a few people ask when Straight Pride Day is.
Try every day you walk down the street holding hands with your sweetie and NOT have a bunch of redneck boys beat you up for the sport of it.
