The obligatory Amusing Mishaps post
Jun. 2nd, 2005 03:25 pmStill talking about Media West a bit.
It was that sort of day getting out of town.
The car dealership lost my car keys. (they found 'em)
When I went to take a nap, Thomas decided to be affectionate and nap on my head.
We were on our way out of town when I remembered I'd forgotten the BK coupons (I ended up giving them away en route)
But, as I pulled into a rest area at about 10 PM, somewhere in the Missouri Bootheel, I had a stroke of luck. There he sat, on a bench, alone and forgotten. But Angel? Angel will never learn. We picked up the four inch hitchhiker and made him our mascot. And he added to the ambience of our room. Let that be a lesson about picking up strange Corellians in dark rest areas...
We got off at the wrong Lansing exit. My sense of direction failed. I was staring at the road, the map and the sun going "This can't be right. Why is the sun rising in the west?" Bunny, adamant that I could NOT navigate with the Force, took the map away and said, "Get back on the highway, Mom. We need exit 104 not 92." Little twitch had slept all night.
