A Monday Link list
May. 9th, 2005 06:14 pm"This Modern World" by Tom Tomorrow. It's at Salon, so you'll have to watch a short ad. But it totally sums up how I feel right now.
The Old Issue by Kipling. Scary how something over 100 years old can feel so very contemporary.
"He shall mark our goings, question whence we came,
Set his guards about us, as in Freedom’s name.
He shall take a tribute, toll of all our ware;
He shall change our gold for arms—arms we may not bear.
He shall break his judges if they cross his word;
He shall rule above the Law calling on the Lord."
Gay response to pheremones. I'd be interested in a 4 group study which includes lesbian women.
Preschool meanness Apparently popular bitchiness starts early, early, early. I always knew some of it had to be an instinctive thing.
A book I really want to read. Freakonomics
