Another self-exam, another lump.
Lower inside quadrant of the right one this time.
It's about the size of a quarter, moves and hurts. Probably the same thing as last time. I'll give it a few weeks and see if it goes away.
If it grows or if more show up, I'll go to the dr. I may be a perv, but even I can't see spending hundreds for the pleasure of a mammogram every 6 mo. Esp. since I'm in the "same level of risk as being killed by a falling satellite" category.
Fannish Stuff
In other news, saw Mad Max. That was a VERY gay movie. Between the big, shaven-head, leather daddy of a police chief and Toe-cutter's plucked eyebrow and lipstick, I was intrigued. Esp. when Toe-cutter takes Johnny-boy for a walk in the surf, shoves a gun in his mouth and tells him he "needs to keep that pretty mouth shut." And Bleached Butch Bubba pinged my gaydar in the stone-cold gay assassin way. (and the fact the motorcycle gang almost certainly raped both the boy and his girlfriend, as the boy was fleeing pantless) Very reminescent of the moment in Thunderdome when Max offers to work and says he has skills, but the gate-guard just grunts "Brothel's full."
The movie itself is not visually very interesting. But it didn't look too terribly dated, either, which is a drawback of 1970s SF. And I saw nothing that would make it SF save the caption "A few years from now." Not like Road Warrior and Thunderdome . Will be watching Road Warrior. I was too young to see it when it first came out, although I read the Starlog articles. I got to see Thunderdome because it was PG-13.
And my vid is falling much more into place now. I suspect even moreso after Road Warrior
Vidding Stuff
I missed the ConneXions deadline. Phooey.
Also. "I would do anything for love (but I won't do that)" by Meatloaf. Over-vidded? Cliche? Or great Sam Gamgee vid in the making?

Date: 2005-03-15 03:02 am (UTC)Too. Damned. Long.
even the radio cut is over five minutes, and the uncut album is what, seven to nine? (I can't find my copy of Bat 2 right now to check, wah!)
Not that you wouldn't find enough footage in the three LOTR movies, but holeee shit that'd be a lot of work.

Date: 2005-03-15 03:07 am (UTC)I find I don't like the female parts in Meatloaf songs. They tend to be shrewish, selfish and manipulative.
I'm working on a 6+ minute dance vid using the Mad Max movies. (yes, it's a LOT of work)

Date: 2005-03-15 05:13 am (UTC)Am I the only one bothered by the fact that the risk of death by falling satellite has a quantifiable percentage? I mean, if a satellite is what punches your ticket, that's like God adding insult to injury.
