The mushrooms never lie

So, the usual chaos this morning. Obi is still running a triple-digit fever, so I'll call the doc as soon as the office opens. Jonner was disappointed that he would have to miss "The Super Donut" which is what the school was serving for breakfast. I made him scrambled eggs. Then I made me some with mushrooms in. As I was doing up Dollface's egg, Bunny commented "Your mushrooms are frowny." Sure enough, they formed a frowny face on my omlet. "Bad day ahead, Mom. The mushrooms never lie."

Obi is laying on the loveseat, drinking gatorade.

Dollface is pestering him.

Yesterday, i got an e-mail from the director of children's programming with MidSouth Con. I took one look at the subject and said "Dollars to donuhts they want me to help." Sure enough. I offered to run a grounded Quidditch game (if they supplied the equipment) and Bunny will teach Potions Class (aka fun with chemistry).

We auditioned for "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" last night. Jonner does a pretty fair kangaroo impression. Who knew?


As we were leaving, Dollface glanced at the 13 year old boy doing a monkey impression on stage and just sighed, "Boys are so crazy."


I want to go back to bed, but the dr. opens in 30 minutes and I'll oversleep it.

quidditch game? *explodes* OMG ... xD how young do you have to be to play!? (or how short, which also works sometimes)

There's talk of running a tournament for the older teens/adults too.

It's played on pool-noodles, with nerf balls for quaffle and bludger, and erratic bouncing ball for the snitch.
