Vid round up, 2004
Dec. 31st, 2004 10:06 amI made 14 vids this year. Some good, some silly, some literalist, some with glitches I can't seem to fix.
All vids are at Mudd & Angel's
14 vids is quite a task.
What I Did for Love" Multi Fandom Sacrifice video. People do many things for those they love: die, suffer, take incredible risks. (Star Trek, Star Wars, Flash Gordon, Buffy, Frisco Kid, LotR)
The Highwayman: Harrison Ford tribute vid. Uses primarily Frisco Kid, Force 10 from Navarone, Six Days, Seven Nights, and Star Wars. Other films: Witness, Frantic, American Graffiti turn up in the end montage
Veteran of the Psychic Wars or The Multifandom Insane Asylum. Nature abhors a hero. So does our mental health industry. Luke Skywalker (psychopath), Dorothy Gale (schizophrenic), Damien Thorn (delusional) and Buffy Summers (schizophrenic--catatonic) all receive their appropriate medication.
Did You Ever Have to Make up Your Mind?: Star Wars. Han is caught between a pair of gorgeous twins. What a choice.
Angel's selections across the virtual video channel. I just call this "Wrongness." It seems as good a title as any for a vid that includes explicit Luke-Leia incest to Rufus Wainwright's "Hallelujah," some Sympathy for the Devil (because Zeke never gives him any), Jane Fonda with a laser gun and K19 the Widowmaker set to Ray Stevens.
Birds of Prey. A multifandom war vid. There are tech glitches i couldn't get out, so I didn't pass it along to VVC, which is what I made it for. (Bedknobs and Broomsticks, Big Red One, Gone with the Wind, Forrest Gump, Hair)
100 Years: Star Wars. Got "The Literal! It Burnnnnnnns us, Precious" award from VVC, received better by nonvidding SW fans. Life, Love and the Ages of Man in a Galaxy Far Far Away
Amazed: Multifandom old guy love. Elderly slash vid, with Adama/Tigh,Marcus/Henry, Gandalf/Saruman, Alexei/Misha and other such. Slashes 2 of the "Four Horsemen of the Slash Apocalypse" (Harrison Ford and Clint Eastwood. The other 2 are John Wayne and Charleton Heston)
Entry of the Gladiators: Keeping up with the Jones in this all-insturmental vid is great fun. (Indiana Jones)
Let's Dance. Fathers, sons and the similarities between them, all set to lightsaber duels and Bowie. (SW)
I Will Always Love You. VividCon Auction vid. Angel. Angel/Wesley. Disturbing, and I now hate Whitney Houston with the burning hate of a Thousand Fiery Suns.
Good Run of Bad Luck: Hitchiker's Guide to Galaxy. Because that's exactly what Arthur is having. But he ends up with a cute Betelgeusan boyfriend, so all is well.
Wild West Show. Jim and Bart slash. (Blazing Saddles)
Son of Man. It is Luke's Destiny. (SW)
I have 9 more in some sort of WIP stage
Tarrant Moss: Luke-Leia vid "I did it all for my false love's sake, and not for the men of the Moss."
Cheapshots: more wrongness
Star Wars Cheapshots: Imagine Lando hitting on Leia to "Time of the Season"
This One's for the Girls: 2 versions, To Wong Foo and the Nekkid Boys of Star Wars.
The Gallows: PotC
Sekrit Bonus vid for SM2 It will only be available with the zine.
Some Girls Do: SW trio vid, mostly Han/Luke
Wind's Four Quarters: Fifth Element
All vids are at Mudd & Angel's
