We made it to The City safely. OK, there were about 125 miles where we did 35 mph. The weather was bitter cold, but clear. I-55 south of Ste. Genevive had not been plowed.

We had a spot of trouble in Concordia, where Dollface took a header into a block of ice. (She was running, and fell. It had fallen off of someone's fender) She's had a lump the size of an egg on her forehead, poor baby.

We saw Mom and Joe for a couple days. We went down and saw my sister and her kids. I can't remember the last time my mom had all 6 of her grandkids in the same room, and we've never managed it for Christmas.

We're at Dad's today. He did the whole turkey spread. My other sister called from her mom's. I told her the shirt she'd picked out for Bunny had induced full-on fangirl squee. (It's a black Malfoy baby-tee)

I helped assemble a 200 piece bionicle. ACK! But Obi is an old hand at it and it took us less than an hour. I came on to check my [livejournal.com profile] yuletide story, but nobody loves me. ::sulk:: OTOH, my recipient liked hers a lot.

Between the rum with eggnog, and the Electric Reindeer merlot at dinner, I feel no pain. We're watching the Chiefs, and the kids are playing.

Happy Christmas to all and to all a good night.

Glad you're having a good one! Given the nice day we had today, I guess you'll be having better travelling weather on the trip back home.

I remember having a squeeful moment like Bunny's when I was her age and was given a reprint of a 1890s fashion magazine. It's pretty exciting when you're getting kind of past the age of wanting to show wild enthusiasm, but something just trips your "bounce up and down and squeal" meter.

Glad little Dollface is okay. That darn ice can be pretty treacherous.
