The things I research.
Octopus anatomy.
Boxing.
Snake penises.
History of the motorcycle.
And now roller derby.

Am imagining the sheer brute force needed to take on a centaur roller derby team...

Centaurs would not actually do well in roller derby. If a horse so much as steps in a gopher hole, it can break a leg! NOW imagine the weird angles, speed, hurdling over downed players on the track, and smacks into the rails... let alone any centaur stuck doing the splits. Not even sure horses have legs that are jointed so they can pivot their hooves like humans can pivot their feet, thus allowing them to corner and maneuver on skates. Horses are designed pretty much for just straight forward travel. Take a human, put them in skates, give her a push, and she can pivot her feet to take a corner. Put a horse in skates, give it a push, and it will go into the rail, as I honestly don't think a horse can pivot its hooves.

Story's already sent. It's OK, they're up against minotaurs, who don't have any lower-leg flexibility either. At least it's flat track and not banked track.
